LSU and Tennessee Updates

Some updates on some tape work I've been doing this past week....

LSU

Jamarcus Russell - Rates as one of the strongest arm I've seen and has surprising touch as well. However, he needs to feel the backside rush better and move away from the rush instead of up into the pocket - and most of the time up into the trouble. JaMarcus has some technique flaws with his feet and throwing on the move - but nothing he can't work out.

Dwayne Bowe - Very impressed by Bowe, similar to Hines Ward in that he doesn't have deep speed but gets open by running good routes and showing a good catch range. Bowe has a chance to be a 1st rounder.

Craig Davis - Lots of people love Davis as a return man but as a receiver he leaves some things to be desired. He doesn't attack the ball with his hands instead letting it get into his body. Despite his good 40 speed, he looks stiff I/O of his routes . Davis also seems tenative to catch passes over the middle.

Brian Johnson and Peter Dyakoskwi both look to be good free agent prospects with Johnson perhaps going in the 7th.

LaRon Landy is rated higher than JaMarcus Russell on my board and could be one of the surest bets on draft day. He can do it all but has to keep outside leverage against the run as he gave him some big plays in run support as a result of this.
